However, the venue installed “metal detectors”. It’s your typical neighborhood outdoor concert locale. While I have visited this concert venue my entire adult life, I have never felt compelled to “review” this venue. Very happy I upgraded, but definitely not necessary to have a good time! So after the concert when everyone was piling out in droves, we just hung out in there until the crowd was gone. Last call at the regular stands was 10 pm, but inside the comfort zone they serve later (until 11:30 or so). Almost worth the extra $20 per person based on the that fact alone! Another plus is that they serve later in there. The bathrooms were air conditioned with individual stalls and nice sinks. Its still outside under an awning, but they do a good job of keeping the area cool. Private bathrooms and bar plus fans and air conditioning. We tried the comfort zone upgrade for the first time out of pure curiosity. They ask people to line up in rows when you get there to keep it somewhat orderly. You just check in with security when you get there and they hand you a chair, and you go find a spot. You don't have to fight for a good spot or chairs. If you get lawn tickets, the upgrade to VIP lawn is definitely worth it. We never stay under the pavilion in actual seats because it looks so crowded and hard to get in and out.
Great venue for concerts if you like the outdoors! Only complaint were food and drink prices, but that was expected.
